M. H. Allen, Jr.
Mr. Allen, Founding and Managing Partner of the Allen Mooney & Barnes family of companies, is insurance-licensed for life, variable life, health and annuities. He is a Registered Principal, a Registered Options Principal, a Registered Municipal Principal, a Registered Investment Advisor Representative and a General Securities Representative. Previously, Mr. Allen was Vice President of the Thomasville office of Shields & Company. Prior to 1989, he and Richard G. Mooney III, worked in a partnership arrangement with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc., managing its Thomasville office. Mr. Allen has governmental experience as both City Treasurer and City Manager for the City of Thomasville where he managed the city’s pension fund and directed the city’s cash management programs. Before coming to municipal government, Mr. Allen was an officer of the Citizens and Southern National Bank in Thomasville. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Economics, Marketing, and Management from Georgia Southern University.
